WELCOME TO BAGELS AND MATZO

A blog for Jewish people just like you.

As the Lubavitcher Rebbe once said, “To be kind is more important than to be right. Many times, what people need is not a brilliant mind that speaks but a special heart that listens”; I am here to do just that. Bagels and Matzo serves as a vessel to project my passion for Judaism, and clue in my loyal readers as to how to get to know and understand their Judaism and their connection with HaShem. Why I won't be attending the Women's March

If you're Jewish and you're thinking about attending next year's Women's March, you need to keep reading. Louis Farrakhan has made many anti-Semitic remarks. He has praised Hitler, said "I'm not an anti-Semite, I'm an anti-termite,

" and called Jews his "enemies." If you want to hear more about him, there are plenty of other articles. The problem I have with the Women's March falls within the issue of their endless support of Farrakhan. In many interviews, the faces of the Women's March refuse to condemn his anti-Semitic remarks. They also refuse to add a Jewish person to their board, despite the fact that they have many Muslim representatives. As an excuse for their undeniable anti-Semitism, they have continuously said that Israel is evil and "Palestine!" I'm not here to discuss the I/P conflict but this is also anti-Semitic. Israel should not be directly conflated with the Jewish people, even if it's our only Jewish state. There are thousands of Muslims, Christians, Druze, and non-religious people in Israel. To say you hate all Jewish people because Israel is bad is incredibly disgusting, anti-Semitic behavior.

The Women's March was built by hands dripping with Jewish blood. To simply attend the march, you might think, wouldn't matter. You are just showing support for feminism and equality, right? Wrong. While I am all for feminism and equal rights, I would never attend a Women's March that doesn't advocate for ALL women. To attend the Women's March is to support their anti-Semitic beliefs and give them power. When a Women's March supports MY rights as a Jewish woman, I will march too. In the meantime, I encourage you to stand up for YOUR rights. Stand up for MY rights. Stand up for the rights of Jewish men and women everywhere. Don't attend the Women's March.
